Wow what a wonderful weekend of family, fun and festivities at Camp Mokule'ia Aug 21-24, 2008
Here's what the CBTS 'ohana did on retreat... singing, dancing, laughing, crying, playing, sighing, funning, hiking, swimming, writing, thinking, smelling, eating, drinking, sleeping, drumming, napping, talking, stones birthing, kamananui, not sleeping, toning, praying, yoga-ing, running (alone), kayaking, snorkeling, wind blowing, joking, creating, failing, succeeding, smiling, wall breaking, drawing, painting, sculputuring, fishing, crabbing, reading, story telling, s'moreing, love making, strumming, scavengering, hula-ing, creative moving, flute playing, piano playing, making music, harmonizing, communing, card playing, loving, picture taking, popcorn eating, song writing, downloading, transforming, hunting, parachutes watching, stargazing, moon rise ogling, sun rising, getting to know you, registering, bed swapping, showering, sand removing, sweeping, hugging, tent pitching, centipede bitting, new friends making, napping, picture taking, breathing, loving, turtle-ing, giggling, relaxing, sharing, tribe-ing, pouting, cleaning, hamming it up, negotiating, meeting, teaming up, visioning, oohing , aaahing, parenting, gesturing, reading, rocking, giving, receiving, wishing, tenting, touching, composing, grand-parenting, gazing, beaching, boogie boarding, rocking, planning, changing, lighting, guitar-ing, wheel-chairing, pointing, retreating, advancing, gathering, explaining, organizing, parachuting, escaping, worshipping!!! We saw: sunlight, rainbow, green sea turtles, moon rise, birthing stones, parachutes, popping stars, sun rise, wild tomatoes, hike with Sierra, blue lady bugs, centipede bite, people taking time, children plahying, teens reading, adults playing, men touching. We heard Laughter, ocean waves, parachutes, dinner bell with out cooking dinner, singing, drumming, music, curiosity, questions We smelled Horses, sweat, camp fire, s'mores, ocean, kalua pig We tasted popcorn, salty air, tomatoes, chocolates, limes, ocean, hawaiian food We touched Centipede, birthing stones, friends, sand, ocean, guitar string, wet, drum sticks, beach trash We experienced new things Songwriting, hula, rhythm, nap, friends, music, kayaks, sand crabs, community, NO INTERNET, kissing, good feelings What we missed Jamaica and others who were not here..., stress, sleeping, hum of traffic, urgency, clocks, cell phones, newspaper Na Mele no Kakou Composed by the members of CBTS retreat 2008 'O Hawaii ku kilakila Ha'aheo i ke kai malama Honehone o ka makani Aloha no wau i a oe Hawai'i proudly stands Glorious in the loving sea Kissed by the wind I love you Hanau o kamanui U'i i ka 'aina wehi Ko aloha o na kupuna Nanea i malama no Born is Kamananui Beautiful because of this cherished land Loved by the ancestors Joy in the care indeed Members
